I often look into the shadows to find the people I most want to paint. Sometimes, they may have been right in front of me all along, but I just couldn't see them until I drew them. At times I feel as though I disappear when I draw, loosing myself as I let my eyes trace the form of another.

Drawing is a way for me to remember that we are here briefly on this planet, just passing through. ~Dawn
