Landscapes

Having grown up by the ocean, the apparent emptiness of the high desert plateau around my home in Central Oregon challenges me to observe the landscape differently. Now, I see each crack in a rock as filled with a story of survival. This rough terrain makes me keep my marks honest and my eyes alert as I strive to express more with less in my artwork

I feel like I am constantly bushwhacking through the process of making art to discover the next clearing.~Dawn
